KAMAR allows us to set up different sets of grades. For the most part these are labelled sets A,B,C & D.
Set A – Used only for official NCEA internal grades. Set B – This is where external grades will be populated by NZQA after final examinations. Staff will not need to put grades in this set. Set C – School report grades – Only grades that the school wishes to formally report on. Ie school practice examinations. We will cover this in future lessons after setting report protocols. Do not put grades in this set yet. Set D - Classroom grades – All non-reportable, practice, classroom tests etc can be customised by each teacher and entered in set D. For the moment we will concentrate on set A (NCEA internal grades) & Set D (where you may wish to customise and begin recording classroom grades).
It is expected that all teachers will get another staff member to check their report comments prior to the due date. Here are the instructions on how to print them off in order to give them to someone to proof read.
1. (open Kamar)
2. Click on Teachers 3. Click on Events Planner 4. In the bottom half of the screen, scroll down and highlight the day you want. Notice that the right half of the screen is for bookings (the left half is for reliever plans) 5. Select category (this is a button to the right of ‘2015’) 6. Choose Library from the pull-down menu. There are 4 tabs across the top of the bookings window. On the ‘Available’ tab, you should see all the library resources that are available on your chosen day 7. Double click on the period you want 8. Select which resource you want from the pop-up window 9. Click on New 10. Enter your class details such as 12HIST You’re done! Note - If you go to the first tab called ‘My bookings’, you will see your booking. There is a red minus sign in front of your booking. Clicking on the minus sign will delete your booking.
This is a copy of the document shared by the Health and Physical Education Department at Staff Briefing this year. I have removed their content and jazzed up the document a little bit and it is now available for you to use if it suits you. Click here to check out the origianl PE & Health document.
The document is designed as a place to record the TAI section of your appraisal. A link to your document can then be placed in your ONE NOTE Appraisal. A google doc is being used by this department because there are a number of staff working on the same TAI focus and by using a google doc and sharing with those staff, each staff member can add data, evidence and photo's etc at any time.
When you click on the button above, it will create the document in your own google drive.
