Conducting form teacher evaluations are quick and easy using google forms. To see what a google form looks like to a student to fill in click here. The best part is all the analysis and graphing of results is done for you saving you a lot of time and providing you with a lot of really instant information from which to reflect and make decisions.
For Westlake Girls Staff, a number of different teacher evaluations can be found in your My Drive/WGHS Master/Admin WGHS/Appraisal/Form Teacher Reflections. Note: If a WGHS Master folder is not showing in your My Drive folder, search for it in your shared with me folder. You can search for it by typing WGHS Master into the search bar at the top. You can add this folder to your My Drive by right clicking on it in your Shared With Me folder and clicking 'ADD TO MY DRIVE'. or contact Catherine Wooller to send you a link to the folder. IMPORTANT: To use a google form in the above mentioned folder (YOU MUST MAKE A COPY!) Click here to view a full screen version of instructions. Many of you will be ready to add some documents to your Appraisal google site. As many of you are now using google documents, I have created instructions specifically to putting google docs onto your appraisal. There are two ways that you can do this.
Embeding a document means you can see the actual document on the Appraisal website page. Where as if you put a link, to view that document you then have to click on the link to open it. In my opinion embeding a document is the best option. It just looks better. If however you are putting a lot of documents onto one page then the links is the better option. The left link is to embed and right right link is to add the document as a link.
Below is a document that is really useful in guiding your TAI or PLN journey. When using it, it is useful to share it with any others that you are doing your PLN/TAI with so that you are not doubling up on the workload. This way you can both add information. If you are working together but your data is different you can still enter it into the same document but just identify whose data is whose! To make a copy of this document to use please click here. This document is automatically created in your google drive and you are the owner of it. I encourage you to create a folder in your google drive called Appraisal and move this document into that folder. Please also name it by click in the document on the name and retyping.
You then put this document into your google site appraisal. Instructions for this are found below this document.
There are two sets of slides below. The first shows the timeline for TAI sessions this year. It shows what you should be doing in each morning TAI session, whether you are doing a TAI as usual or you are joining a PLN (professional learning network).
The second shows what each of the PLN groups are about.
In 2017, we are moving completely to google sites for your appraisal process. We will be using Classic google sites rather than the new google sites as the functionality is better at this time with the old sites (the new sites was only released at the end of 2016). Instructions for setting it up are in the slides below.
The staff session on the February 13th will go through setting this up step by step so you don't need to do it now, however you are welcome to if you are keen.
These instructions are for transferring any google sites from your school google account to a personal account. This is used particularly for transferring your appraisal site when you are leaving WGHS. To view this full screen click here.
So I was just doing a final appraisal meeting as the appraiser. I have never had training on being an appraiser and so I just follow my nose and do what I think will be beneficial for the teacher whom I am appraising. Here is the updated version of the summary for 2016 in a google doc. This can be printed out or signatures digitally attached. The document can be shared with your appraiser so that they can write directly into it (directions for sharing google docs here).
I encourage you to create an Appraisal & TAI folder in your google drive to put this document in. It can then be added via a link to your Appraisal Site or One Note when finished or embed it if you like that look!
Below is a document you can use to reflect on how well you have implemented E-Learning in your teaching and learning programs this year. The document can then be added into your appraisal document.
Note: It will be saved in your google drive automatically. You can then create an Appraisal folder in your google drive to store documents in.
