Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews will be held for Seniors on Wednesday 5 April and Juniors on Tuesday 11 April. 4 – 7 PM.
Booking Your Breaks on the Online Booking System
Please make sure you have done the following before the school interviews booking site goes live to parents on 29 March.

For Senior evening-
User name – westlakes (all lower case)
Password – ask a colleague nearby for the password!
For Junior evening
User name – westlakej (all lower case)
Password –ask a colleague nearby for the password!
Refreshments/finger food - A buffet is available in the staffroom immediately after school on both days. We also leave the food out until 6pm if you get a break later.
Prefer cash? - Payroll will be notified of those who preferred a meal payment to the buffet. Please put your name on the list on staff room noticeboard.
Parent Communication – We have emailed parents to diarise the evening already. We will open at school interviews site on the day reports are sent. The instructions and booking codes will be emailed and also be on the reports as another reminder the week before the evening. Remind your students they are encouraged to attend but it is not compulsory.

- Check your correct teaching subjects are all listed as parents search and book via the subject. Email Natalie Wilson in reception on [email protected] if you need to update.
- click on your name – check that all is correct and let me or Natalie know if there are any errors or omissions.
- set your breaks – you can set up to 4 breaks – each 5 minutes long – you may want to set 2 of them together to give you a bit more time. Once the bookings are open to parents then it may be hard for you to set the breaks at the time you want so best to do ASAP.
- Please remind students of the importance of making online bookings – they will not be able to drop in on the night and expect that you can see them. It is important to stick to your interview times as far as is possible.
- Parents unable to make bookings online can ring the school – please inform students of this facility if they ask. We will put information into the notices to this effect.
- All teachers are expected to attend the evenings, same provisions as a normal school day apply– If you are unable to attend for approved reasons - illness, leave, overseas, don’t teach junior or senior or have a school commitment (eg coaching/trip) Please email your apologies in advance to your HOD, SLT manager, myself and cc Natalie Wilson. Please also inform your classes and advise them that their parents can email you with any queries. We will also make at note on the booking site cover page. Then finally make sure you block out all your bookings before they go live to parents.
- If you are suddenly ill on the day – please email myself when you contact the relief person plus your HOD. We will remove your bookings & email effected parents after having noted who requested interviews for you to follow up later.
