Below is a document you can use to reflect on how well you have implemented E-Learning in your teaching and learning programs this year. The document can then be added into your appraisal document.
Note: It will be saved in your google drive automatically. You can then create an Appraisal folder in your google drive to store documents in.

These are the notes from the PD session on 31st October run by Catherine Wooller and Michelle Cleaver. Please note it is our journey, there are always other ways of doing things!!!
It is prudent at the end of the year to print off a markbook summary and ask your students to sign it. I always say, it is a double check to make sure that I haven't entered anything incorrectly! It does sometimes pick up those odd errors that occur from time to time.
Conducting teacher/course evaluations are quick and easy using google forms. To see what a google form looks like to a student to fill in click here. The best part is all the analysis and graphing of results is done for you saving you a lot of time and providing you with a lot of really instant information from which to reflect and make decisions.
For Westlake Girls Staff, a number of different teacher evaluations can be found in your My Drive/WGHS Master/Admin WGHS/Appraisal/Teacher Evaluation Surveys. Click here to view a full screen version of instructions.
Many of you are tidying up your appraisals and are having final classroom observations. Here are a few classroom observation forms. For Westlake Girls staff, these can also be found in your google site appraisal if you are using that tool for your appraisal, and in google drive, WGHS Master/Appraisal/Classroom Observations. Please make sure you make copies of these before using them!
Using the links below will automatically create copies for you and save them in your google drive. Classroom Observation Template Classroom Observation - Targeting Questioning Classroom Observation - Targeting Student Engagement This little tip is definitely very useful. Have you ever been reading something online and thought this would be really useful, but how do I save it to be able to use it in the future and/or provide it for your students. Well there are multiple ways that you can do that, you could save it to an online folder like flipboard or pinterest and share those with your students, or take screenshots and paste them into a document. Well with this tool you can very quickly save the entire page to a pdf and have it automatically put into your google drive folder. It saves a lot of time. All teachers and students (using laptops) at Westlake Girls now have this tool in their google chrome browser. Steps 1. Open the chrome browser and find a page that you are wanting to save. 2. On your chrome browser to the right of the web address bar, there are a couple of little icons. These are called Chrome Extensions (I have quite a few - you probably will only have 1-2 that I have added to everyone.) 3. Click on the google drive icon shown by the red circle above. 4. This will then save that page as a pdf and put it into your google drive. 5. A box will appear telling you the name it has been saved as and gives you the option to change the name and where in your google drive it is stored. At this point you can also click on the title to open it. Now be aware if the page you were saving was very long, so too will be your pdf! You can then share this with whoever you like with the usual google sharing process.
Useful This is particularly useful in conjunction with google forms. The new google forms provides you with graphed results automatically now which is great, but there is not yet a function to save that automatically into a google doc of pdf. This 'Save to Drive' extension will enable you to do this quickly and effortlessly. |
