These are the notes from Polly Stuart's PD session on 31st October 2016. It was focused on Google Forms & Flubaroo for Self Marking Quizes.
Conducting teacher/course evaluations are quick and easy using google forms. To see what a google form looks like to a student to fill in click here. The best part is all the analysis and graphing of results is done for you saving you a lot of time and providing you with a lot of really instant information from which to reflect and make decisions.

Click here to view a full screen version of instructions. For those of you who have already experienced the usefulness of google forms for quizzes, you will agree that they are super helpful. Until now you have either used students answers to guide you in your teaching or you have used flubaroo with it to automatically mark and send your students their results from the quiz. Well google now has introduced its own self marking capability. While flubaroo still has great additional functionality and statistics, using the basic google form quiz option will serve the purposes for most teachers needs and save us a whole lot of time. In essence you can use a google form to create a multiple choice style quiz that is marked automatically. You have the option for it to automatically send the results directly to the students or you can give them general or question by question feedback. Check this out if you want to upgrade how you use google forms. Having done this myself this technique is not for new google users. You should be reasonably confident in your use of google forms before trying this out. Otherwise it is a great tool to support the learning of your students. This article/tutorial is from the Shake Up Learning blog written by Kasey Bell from Texas.
It is really important to be mindful of the fact that some students do not have the internet at home. When using google forms you can print these off and give to those students so they are still able to complete the work. When doing this make sure that if there is a video in the google form, that you ask that student to watch it in the library or on your computer prior to going home.
